Your Data Stays on Your Device

Ledgr stores all your financial data locally on your device using encrypted storage. There is no Ledgr server, no account sync to a third-party cloud, and no data sharing with Ledgr or any analytics provider.

What Data Ledgr Stores

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings → Data, your data is backed up to your personal iCloud account. This data is:

• Accessible only by you through your Apple ID
• Subject to Apple's iCloud privacy policy
• Never visible to Ledgr

Receipt Scanning

Receipt scanning uses Apple's Vision framework, which runs entirely on-device. No receipt images are ever uploaded to any server.

Advertising

The free version of Ledgr displays banner ads powered by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

• Device advertising identifier (IDFA) — only if you grant tracking permission
• General device and network information

You can opt out by selecting "Ask App Not to Track" when prompted, or by going to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Upgrading to Ledgr Premium removes all ads entirely.

Exporting Your Data

You can export a full backup of your data at any time:

1. Go to Settings → Data → Data Management → Export Data
2. The exported file is encrypted with AES-GCM
3. Share it to Files, AirDrop, email, or any destination you choose

The export file cannot be read without the Ledgr app. Keep it in a safe place.

Deleting Your Data

To permanently delete all data:

1. Go to Settings → Data → Data Management → Delete All Data
2. Confirm the action

This removes all expenses, recurring items, receipts, and settings from the device. This action cannot be undone.

Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data.
